Ranga Shankara is a not-for-profit organization run by the Sanket Trust. Established in 1992 by a group of theater enthusiasts, the Sanket Trust oversees Ranga Shankara’s activities through a registered Board of Trustees. As the Trust's primary initiative, Ranga Shankara is both FCRA certified and holds 80G certification, reflecting its adherence to high standards and dedication to excellence in theater.

Ranga Shankara is supported by the Department of Kannada and Culture, Karnataka, along with the Infosys Foundation, Mazumdar Shaw Philanthropy, and Murty Trust. The organization takes pride in offering a very low rental rate to make the stage more accessible to the theater community.
