The Stage

The world-class stage at Ranga Shankara, designed by Mistry Architects under MS Sathyu’s guidance, is a testament to both form and function. The result is a warm, performance-friendly 1575 sqft thrust stage, with acoustics designed to amplify natural sound without any mics; and all the technical support needed to stage a show, big or small.

Gallery

An art gallery that showcases visual arts, however small, always completes a theatre space. “Kitaki,” translating to “window” in Kannada, serves as our charming art gallery at Ranga Shankara. Nestled along the corridor leading to the auditorium, Kitaki offers a delightful peek into the world of visual art.

“Kitaki” is the Kannada word for “window”. That’s what we call our little art gallery. Situated along the longish corridor leading to the auditorium, Kitaki showcases visual art that is specially curated for Ranga Shankara by friendly art galleries of the country. The logo for Kitaki, like the Ranga Shankara logo, is the creation of renowned artiste S G Vasudev.
