Ranga Shankara has been a vital force in the cultural landscape of Bangalore and India, fostering the art of theatre with a deep commitment to its preservation and promotion. Theatre is a powerful tool for social and cultural development- challenging norms, evoking thought, and fostering empathy, thereby shaping the values and perspectives of a community.

It is the most affordable, well equipped and maintained theatre space in the country. A journey that began with 50 performing theatre troupes in the city of Bengaluru has now reached more than a 100 of them over these past 20 years showcasing over 400 performances every year ever since its inception with around 12.8 Lakh people in the audience who have enjoyed the unique and almost addictive experience of watching a play on this thrust stage, with natural sound and a warm ambience that embraces you.
